How do you name a luxury lodge?
We are all brainstorming here at Perfect Manors!
We’re onto Achnagairn Luxury Lodge number 4. If you haven’t been following our progress that may not mean much – let us explain! We’ve taken on a huge expansion programme and are refurbishing 8 luxury lodges a stone’s throw from Achnagairn House (150 metres away). This gives us so much more accommodation – by the time it’s all done we’ll be able to sleep 140!
So what’s the brainstorm
about? Well, the whole idea behind this new accommodation is that, even though
we will soon have quite a serious number of bedrooms, each will still have its
own completely individual feel. Each lodge will have its own theme, each room
its own name. Any of you who have met the owners or visited the house will know
of our penchant for appalling puns:

Bayeux Leave room plaque |
– example no.1 in the lodges: The La Belle
France lodge has a room with a fragment of the Bayeux tapestry (not original,
alas!) called… Bayeux Leave (!).
- pun no.2 is even worse – dedicated to the great impressionist, with a nod to a certain Swedish band, we have Monet Monet Monet.

Loch'd Out |
We are now moving on
to the names (and puns!) of lodge number four, and thought this should be
themed on something slightly closer to home – the Scottish lodge: “Great
Scott!”. So far, our great
thoughts have extended to: “Loch’d Out” and ‘Thistle Inspire You”, but we need
help for naming the other 3 bedrooms, as our artist is already underway
painting the door plaques. What are other traditional Scottish things? I’m not
sure we can turn a Haggis pun into a luxury bedroom, but if it’s creative
enough, we’re willing to try! Do comment suggestions below, or post up on the
Facebook page – we’re all having a think and will let you know how it goes!
